A neighbourhood just minutes away from Bolton town centre has been left reeling after the death of a man in a suspected “stabbing.” Three people have now been charged in connection with the alleged murder of the 35-year-old man, who has yet to be identified, on Bromwich Street, The Haulgh. Police stayed on the scene throughout Friday night, first noticed by people living there earlier in the evening.
A mother who lives nearby said: “We definitely thought it was serious with all that police presence.” The police were still at the scene when she returned on Saturday evening. 30pm when we got back.” Remains of police tape could still be seen in the area on Saturday afternoon, though the scene had largely cleared by then. By Sunday, an unseasonably cold and wet day for June, police had confirmed that the man had died, and that three people had been charged.

One resident said: “Welcome to Bolton, it’s rife with knife crime these days!” Another who lived nearby said she was worried for her and her family’s safety when she thought about what the town was “coming to these days.” It is believed.
