Kelly Bawcombe, from Watford in Hertfordshire, was clueless about her disease until she discovered a grape-sized lump in her armpit while showering one evening in March. Instead she took vitamins in an effort to boost her immune system. It was only after the lump grew to the size of a golf ball just two weeks later that she visited her GP. Scans later revealed she had triple negative breast cancer that had spread to her bones and liver, meaning it was stage four and incurable — like Girls Aloud 's Sarah Harding , who was 39 when she died from the disease in 2021, a little over a year after being diagnosed.
