CODY Johnson has knocked his national anthem rendition out of the park at the MLB All-Star Game. The country singer, 32, performed the Star Spangled Banner at Arlington's Globe Life Field on Tuesday. Fans were eager to see Johnson's performance after Ingrid Andress suffered a "nightmare" at Monday's Home Run Derby.

Four-time Grammy winner Andress has claimed she was "drunk" on the field after fans dubbed her anthem rendition the "worst of all time." There were no such issues for Johnson as he sang for a sold-out crowd in Texas ahead of the annual showpiece. Wearing a cream suit and matching hat, fans claimed Johnson "crushed" the performance before the American League's 5-3 win over the National League.

"Just beautiful. Thank you @codyjohnson for a wonderful rendition that hits the heart," wrote one fan on X. "That’s how it’s done," added another.

"Not that the bar was set very high, but Cody Johnson absolutely CRUSHED the National Anthem," said a third. "He was under the most pressure to be great. And he delivered," commented a fourth.

Andress revealed on Tuesday she was checking into rehab following her Home Run Derby horror show. "I'm not gonna bulls**t y'all, I was drunk last night," Andress wrote on her official X account. "I'm checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need.

"That was not me last night. "I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition." "I'll let y'all know how rehab is.

I hear it's super fun," she b.
