The Miss Global International pageant, which celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, is set to take place in the enchanting locale of Bali, Indonesia. Founder and chairman, Montego Bay businessman , recently shared exciting insights into the upcoming event during an interview with McKoy’s News. Alongside him was Richann Vernon, the stunning and articulate representative for Jamaica.
According to Mr Ramchandani, this year marks a significant evolution for Miss Global International. Historically, the pageant has been open to women aged 17 to 27 who are single and disengaged. However, in a landmark decision, the age limit has been raised to 40, allowing married and divorced women to participate, provided they can commit to the pageant’s schedule.
This inclusive shift aligns with recent changes in major international pageants such as Miss Universe. “We believe every woman deserves a chance to shine, regardless of her marital status or age, up to 40,” Ramchandani stated. “This change is about giving more women the opportunity to showcase their beauty, talent, and intelligence.
” “In the last 19 years our criteria has always been from 17 to 27 or 28 single free and disengaged. This is the only year we have stepped a little further we have increased the age limit to 40..
. this was my ambition from many many years ago because I feel very it’s kind of unfair for a young lady that is pretty, beautiful, talented, bright, intelligent, just because she just had a little.
