A photo of Miranda Derrick has gone viral after the controversy surrounding the docuseries The three-part series hit Netflix on May 29, and investigates claims of a "cult-like" atmosphere at 7M Films. The talent management company works with dancers and is owned by Robert Shinn—pastor of the Los Angeles-based Shekinah Church. The show interviewed former church members, as well as Derrick's parents, Kelly and Dean Wilking, and her sister Melanie Ekeler.

The documentary suggests that Derrick is deeply entrenched in the alleged "cult," but the dancer has denied the reports. On May 28, Derrick shared photos she said were taken at her sister's wedding venue. The photos show Derrick posing in a black satin gown, surrounded by empty seats.

Holding a clutch bag, the 27-year-old appears to be at the Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa, where Ekeler tied the knot on May 25. "Had such a great time at my sister's wedding," Derrick wrote in the caption. However, many believed the photo was staged, with Stephanie Maldonado writing: "Not fooling anyone.
