Michelle Keegan has received a fresh boost when it comes to her career after she kicked off the year by winning praise for her appearance in a Netflix smash hit. The actress impressed with her leading performance as Maya Stern in the adaptation of Harlen Coben's thriller Fool Me Once. The eight-part series landed on the streaming service on New Year's Day (January 1) after Michelle spent much of last year filming the series across Manchester and Cheshire before its much-anticipated release.
The Stockport-born star later called the response to drama Fool Me Once "overwhelming" as she picked up an award earlier this year, recognising her career in TV. Around the same time, it was revealed she had signed up for a second series of BBC drama Ten Pound Poms. Michelle has since made two extended trips to the other side of the world to film series number two, with her husband Mark Wright in tow. But it's now been confirmed that Michelle is likely to spend more time much closer to home thanks to the return of Brassic.
