Michael Mosley's friend has said the TV doctor was asked to do Strictly Come Dancing before his tragic death. The doctor was found dead at the age of 67 on the Greek island of Symi over the weekend, days after he set out on an afternoon hike. He was reported missing on Wednesday amid a blistering Mediterranean heatwave after last being seen on a walk.
Dr Mosley was found dead on Sunday in a rocky area near Agia Marina beach. He was known for presenting numerous science programmes and films which explored healthcare in Britain and often put his own body to the test for experiments. Before heading to Greece , Dr Mosley reportedly told his friends that his career was set to take an exciting turn.
In an interview before his death, the dad-of-four revealed he had "no intention" of slowing down his career. A friend has claimed he was looking forward to the prospect of joining BBC dance competition Strictly. They told the Daily Mail: "He told me just the week before last he'd been invited to do Strictly.
" It is believed Dr Mosley hadn't put pen to paper on a contract before his death. He had also planned to record a new podcast with friend and renowned epidemiologist Tim Spector before his death. Tim has shared how they had planned to meet this week to record a podcast on improving sleep.
