Mela Habijan raises rainbow flag for Pride Month: 'I'm a transwoman, and that will never be an insult'

Mela Habijan is raising the rainbow flag high to celebrate Pride Month. On Instagram, the Miss Trans Global 2020 shared photos with a rainbow flag symbolizing the LGBT+ community. "Wherever I may be, I will always be proud of my true colors," Mela said in the caption.

"I am a transwoman, and that will never be an insult!" she added. "Happy pride!" In January, Mela flew to Madrid, Spain, to pursue a master's degree in business . Last year, she took a modeling masterclass in New York under the mentorship of supermodel Coco Rocha .

In 2020, Mela was crowned the first-ever Miss Trans Global, bagging several special awards in the pageant, including Eloquent Queen of the Year, Super Model of the Year, and Glam Beauty of the Year.
