The Mets are winning, and McDonald’s is lovin’ it. After the fast food chain’s 53-year-old affable purple character, Grimace, threw out the first pitch at Citi Field last Wednesday, the Mets have subsequently rattled off seven consecutive wins, the latest of which came in come-from-behind fashion on Tuesday night in Texas . With the Mets’ success, McDonald’s has joined in on the fun on social media, changing their entire X account to feature Grimace and Mets logos.

The worldwide restaurant’s account now has a profile picture that features Grimace in a Mets hat that also has a tiny No. 55 on it — the same number on the City Connect jersey the Mets gave him last week. The company’s banner photo on X also has Grimace wearing a Mets hat and pulling a red-painted wagon that is carrying a Mets logo.

McDonald’s bio now has a Mets-centric focus. “mets go let’s,” it reads. After the Mets’ 7-6 victory over the Rangers , the account — which took Grimace’s voice — posted twice.
