It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew T. Orr, a man of extraordinary talent and unwavering love for his family. Who departed from this world after an admirable fight to the very end, on June 1st, 2024, in his home, surrounded by those he cherished the most. Matthew passed away peacefully, in the loving embrace of his best friend, caregiver, and love of his life, Jennifer DeRosier. He was surrounded by the people he loved most, his father and mother, Tom and Julie Orr, his dear sister and friend Rebekah who he admired greatly, who molded his love for music, and his absolute world, his daughter Olivia Orr. Matthew was born with a gift for playing the guitar. He was not only a gifted musician but also the best father a little girl could ever have. Olivia was his pride and joy, and he adored her with all of his heart. His voice was as beautiful as his guitar playing and his heart was as pure as gold. Matthew was known as one of the funniest people on the planet, always bringing laughter and joy to those around him. He loved foosball and competitively played, with Jennifer, and their friend Lane. His infectious smile lit up any room, and even in death his handsome appearance was matched only by his devotion to his family. In his memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Olivia, his sweet little daughter who was the one thing that mattered most in his life. She adores flowers and cards. Any contribution or flowers sent in Matthew’s memory will bring light to Olivia’s day, as she navigates the loss of her beloved father at such a tender age.
