With high-speed car chases, multiple explosions and Boston accents flying all over the place from a smart-alecky veteran cast, the new trailer for Apple Original Film stormed computer screens Thursday in entertaining fashion. It follows the promo for the film Tim Cook introduced at the start of the WWDC24 keynote.

debuts in select theaters on August 2 before streaming on Apple TV+ August 9. Judging by the trailer, will, at the very least, be a good popcorn movie. plays Rory, an overtaxed and desperate Boston-area dad looking for more than just financial answers as he talks things through with his therapist, played by Oscar-winner ( ).

Concerned, she asks if he has tried everything he could to right his financial wrongs. “Not everything,” he replies. And soon we see what he hasn’t tried: Planning a major heist with ex-con Cobby ( ).

They want to take down a corrupt politician at a big event, so they build a crew. It’s no spoiler to say things go sideways. It’s the whole premise of the trailer.

But as things blow up (literally in some cases), we see a supporting cast for the ages in this thing. In addition to the very recognizable Chau, it’s got a slew of veteran players, including ( ), ( films, remake), ( ) and ( ).
