A man has proposed to his girlfriend, a Jet2 crew member, whilst she was working as crew on a flight to Spain. Love was literally in the air on a Jet2.com flight from Bristol to Menorca, Spain, yesterday, after George West proposed to his girlfriend, a senior cabin crew member, Stephanie Perret, whilst she was working on the flight.
George, an electrician from Bristol, surprised his girlfriend of 10 years — who had thought it was a normal working day looking after customers going away on their holidays with the leading leisure airline. Instead, shortly after take-off, Stephanie found George getting down on one knee and asking her to take his hand in marriage. Stephanie said: “This is certainly a flight I will never forget.
When I saw George, I had to do a double-take and I thought what on earth is he doing on my flight when he’s supposed to be at work! When he knelt down, I couldn’t believe it. I’m really looking forward to getting married.” Were you proposed to on board a flight? Email us at webtravel@reachplc.
com George added: “I know how much Stephanie loves flying so I thought this would be the perfect surprise for her. I cannot tell you how great the Jet2.com team have been in helping me make it happen.
We’ll definitely be looking at a Jet2holiday for our honeymoon!” George had booked himself onto the flight and, with the help of the Jet2.com team, arranged to be seated at the back of the aircraft, away from Stephanie who would be looking after customer.
