A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with a fatal explosion at a service station in Co Donegal which claimed the lives of 10 people in 2022. Four men, three women and three children, with ages ranging from five to 59, died in the blast on the October 7 in the village of Creeslough. Police investigating the explosion said the man and woman, both aged in their 40s, were arrested on Monday for alleged offences contrary to the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997.

Both people are currently being questioned at separate garda stations in Co Donegal. The investigation into the fatal explosion at a building complex in Creeslough continues to be co-ordinated from Milford garda station.

An incident room was established there under the direction of a garda senior investigating officer (SIO). Ten people died in the explosion at Applegreen service station on October 7, 2022. Those who died were aged between five and 59.
