Malaysians traveling to Singapore can begin using Quick Response (QR) codes for immigration clearance at the Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine (CIQ) complexes at the Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI) and the Sultan Abu Bakar Complex (KSAB) starting June 1. Officials have announced that the first phase of QR code implementation will cover Malaysians traveling to Singapore by bus at BSI and motorcyclists using the automated MBike immigration clearance system at KSAB.

The initial trial phase will last three months before expanding to private vehicle users in the second phase, followed by Singaporeans and other nationalities. Introducing QR codes at BSI and KSAB is expected to be a significant improvement in managing congestion at Malaysia-Singapore entry points.
