The BBC have revealed Gavin & Stacey will give viewers another helping of Christmas magic by filming a special behind the scenes documentary of the show's 17 history. According to reports, cameras are being allowed in to reveal an exclusive insight into the making of the iconic show - and it shows the farewell episode that features Mathew Horne and Joanna Page, who played Gavin and Stacey. It's set to air during the Christmas period and is being written by the original story tellers, Ruth Jones and James Corden.

A TV insider told The Sun: "The Beeb view this as a momentous occasion and wanted to give Gavin & Stacey a suitably auspicious send-off. The fact that the documentary will be made by Fulwell 73, which is co-owned by James and is a co-producer of the sitcom, means they’ll enjoy full access on set and get all the biggest chats." " It was originally revealed back in February that the hit comedy show will be returning as James and Ruth had already started working on the script. It was also reported that Netflix had shown an interest in streaming on their platform but the BBC piped them to the post. And they had good reason to win the bid as back in 201.
