A MAJOR car brand has revealed plans to donate millions of pounds to cops in a bid to tackle rising motor theft. British luxury car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover has joined forces with the UK's police department to thwart the rise of organised crime. The automotive giant announced it will invest "more than £1million" to help cops crackdown on vehicle thefts across the country.

This will help the police force gain additional resources to tackle and respond to high-profile car thefts across the UK. It will also allow authorities to investigate theft cases more deeply. The monetary support will come on top of the car insurance offered by the brand which aims to reduce driver's insurance costs as the increase in motor thefts has forced companies to raise premiums.

JLR previously said it would offer to pay £150 per month as part of insurance contributions to its divers for up to three years. Patrick McGillycuddy, managing director at JLR, said: "We are constantly developing our systems and security features and through our close collaboration with police, we stay ahead of any emerging methods and quickly deploy anti-theft measures. "This additional investment, coupled with our other ongoing and proactive action, shows our commitment to supporting the authorities in having a tangible impact on combating this issue in the UK.

" JLR has also trained some 650 officers so far to help investigate recovered stolen cars, GB News reports. Range Rovers were among the most stolen cars in t.
