A MAJOR budget retailer has been given the green light to open a new Scottish store on the site of abandoned outlets. The site was previously home to Carpet Right and a Poundworld store, both of which have permanently shut down. Permission has been granted for a supermarket , separate retail unit and cafe to replace three empty units. It has not yet been confirmed which retailer is set to move into the second unit.
