National Award-winning vocalist Mahesh Kale recently captivated Mumbai audience with his performance of Abhang music at the ' Abhangwari ' concert , held at Shanmukhananda Hall, Sion. San Francisco-based Kale, known for his rendition of Abhang—a form of devotional poetry dedicated to Lord Vitthal—delivered a performance that highlighted his efforts in promoting Hindustani Classical Music worldwide. The event was a transcendent experience, filled with deep devotion, spirituality, and reverence.

. My priority is to be honest, disciplined, and committed to the art. As far as the audience goes, I want to make sure that they are actively engaged in the concerts, and in the end, they all return home happier than when they stepped in.

Mumbai is a very special place. There are microcosms in Mumbai. Many different centres have their own audiences.

But this is like a yearly ritual for me, where I sing in Shanmukhananda Hall, and people from all over come. Because this is the only show in the season of Abhangwari, people from all kinds of places end up going there, and it is a kind of celebration of sorts, not just a concert. I'm looking forward to ensuring that there is a little bit of fulfillment of the expectations people come with, and a little bit of fulfillment of what I, as a musician, can give them each time.
