Welsh Hollywood actor Luke Evans , who is known for starring in Beauty and the Beast, Fast & Furious 6 and The Hobbit, has announced a career move. Posting to Instagram he said he would be sharing the "ups and downs" and that it was a "mad experience". Luke has announced that he is writing a book about his life called Boy from the Valleys: My Unexpected Journey, which is a nod to the first Hobbit film he starred in, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

In a video to fans, he said: "So a year ago I was approached to write a book. I was asked to write a book about my life, my journey so far. I thought about it for a couple of months and I thought you know what, f**k it, I am going to do it.

"Nine months later, I have a book. It's a journey of my life from my childhood in south Wales all the way up until this year. It's been a mad experience, it is almost like therapy, the weirdest weirdest thing and its all the ups and downs, the ins and outs all the way through this crazy career that I've had which I wasn't expecting to have and now it all started, back in Aberbargoed back in south Wales.
