Friday, June 7, 2024 Lufthansa launches its non-stop service connecting Raleigh-Durham, NC, and Frankfurt, Germany. This inaugural flight not only facilitates a direct route to Germany but also represents Lufthansa’s first venture into North Carolina from its Frankfurt hub. Additionally, it is the first-ever non-stop service from Raleigh-Durham International Airport to Germany.
Lufthansa’s expansion in North Carolina not only bolsters its regional presence but also offers North Carolinians greater direct travel options to Europe. The introduction of the Raleigh-Durham to Frankfurt route, along with the existing Charlotte to Munich service, forms a comprehensive network providing seamless European connections and beyond. With these connections, North Carolina residents now have direct access to major European business centers, hi-tech companies, and R&D facilities, as well as popular business destinations in the Middle East and India.
