Reacting to the news, West Bengal’s ruling Trinamool Congress said the Election Commission is probing the matter and the onus is on the poll panel to explain the discrepancy. “The Election Commission of India is looking into the whole matter. Only it can explain why this happened,” TMC spokesperson Shantanu Sen said.
Babun Banerjee has declined to comment on the matter.
