Love Island presenter Maya Jama was quick to put one Islander on the spot over a comment that left his co-stars gasping. The host called out the Islander as he made a bit of a dig at his new partner on the show, as they were paired up during a challenge. Clearly not happy with the girl he was paired up with, Sean Stone was quick to make an awkward remark that left Nicole Samuel a little hurt.
But she wasn't the only one stunned, as other Islanders gasped or laughed at the awkward moment before Maya called him out over it. While it was all mostly in humour, she wasted no time in making it clear the comment was not necessary. She herself was open-mouthed when Sean made the remark, before Nicole commented that she "should just leave" then and there.
Maya was asking the pair how they felt about being paired together, and it was clear they weren't keen, but Nicole decided not to give away her thoughts. Sean, however, said out loud that Nicole "wasn't his usual type" in a tone that made it evident he wasn't drawn to her. As Maya asked for his feedback, he said: "It's early days.
Not my usual type...
but I'm looking forward to opening my ideas up and getting to know her." As Nicole commented that she should just leave, Maya told Sean: "Ok..
. but you didn't have to say that, but it's ok. She kept her cards close, you just flung them out.
But it's ok." Viewers backed Maya, with many calling the comment "mean" and unnecessary. There was a major twist at the end of the episode, when for.
