The Louisville Street Faire returns this weekend and there’s no better artist to kick off the party than local legend Kyle Hollingsworth, keyboardist for The String Cheese Incident. Hollingsworth will perform with his band at 6 p.m.

Friday. Hollingsworth used to live in Louisville, is looking forward to bringing his jazzy, soulful music back to the Steinbaugh Pavillion. “I love Louisville, Colorado, my wife and I lived there in the late `90s, early 2000s.

It’s continuing to grow, but always keeps the beautiful small-town vibe,” Hollingsworth said. “Playing this event is like a homecoming for me, great to see so many families out enjoying the summer. Looking forward to this again, see you soon.

” The second Street Faire on June 21 will bring in Grammy-nominated Los Angeles-based The Record Company, a three-piece roots-rock band. New Orleans blues guitarist Eric Johanson will open the show for the Billboard-topping trio. The Street Faire runs 5:30-9 p.

m. every Friday through Aug. 9, except for July 5.

The Faire is held at the Steinbaugh Pavilion, 824 Front St., where the music starts around 6 p.m.

The summer concert series is free to attend and hosted by the Louisville Downtown Business Association. Lawrence Anderson, general manager for the Faire, said the free summer concert series is a great way to listen to live music, check out downtown Louisville and support local businesses. Anderson said, as for the music, there will be something for everyone throughout the e.
