She is the final LOONA member release new music after the group's lawsuit against Blockberry Creative LOONA member Yves has officially made her solo debut with the release of her first mini-album ‘Loop’. Both the album and a music video for its title track of the same name were released on May 29 at 6pm KST, marking Yves first music release – be it solo or with a group – since she parted ways with former company Blockberry Creative . In the new visual for ‘Loop’, featuring rapper Lil Cherry, Yves performs the choreography of the song with numerous back-up dancers.
The song is notably a dance house track produced and written by Paix Per Mil founder Millic, alongside labelmate Ioah. Lil Cherry was also credited as a co-lyricist on the track. Aside from its lead single, the ‘Loop’ mini-album consists of three other B-sides: ‘Diorama’, ‘Afterglow’ and ‘Goldfish’, all of which were both produced and written by labelmates Ioah, Millic and blah.
Although ‘Loop’ marks the singer’s official solo debut, it is her second solo record, after she put out her first solo material under her previous label as part of her introduction as a member of LOONA in 2017. This makes ‘Loop’ her first official solo work in over six years.
