It’s been more than a century since the RMS Titanic collided with an iceberg and sank in the Atlantic Ocean, killing more than 1,500 people, but the April 1912 shipwreck still captures the public’s attention. Now, a long-running Titanic exhibit is coming to Seattle. Starting July 25, “ Titanic: The Exhibition ” will take place in the Maritime Building on the Seattle waterfront.

The exhibit includes replicas of the ship’s interior and more than 200 artifacts from the Titanic, including handwritten letters from passengers. The narrative-driven exhibit is a 90-minute history lesson on the ship’s construction, voyage and sinking. There will even be a piece of an iceberg to touch.

The exhibition has been produced and operated by Spanish company Musealia since 2000. Tickets are on sale now, with slots available July 25-Sept. 8; timed entry tickets start at $34 for adults, $29 for seniors, students and veterans, and $19 for children (ages 4-12; kids under 4 get in free).

More Musealia CEO Luis Ferreiro said Seattle was an obvious location for the exhibit’s next run, as its “maritime connection made it special for us, in addition to being a market with a strong reputation of a public demanding quality exhibitions.” “Titanic” is a collaboration between Musealia and Swedish historian Claes-Göran Wetterholm, who’s worked with the company as a curator and historian since 2003. Wetterholm has published multiple books about the ship, been involved in more than 50 .
