9 out of 10. The top spot went to Newquay in Cornwall - which scored 9.72.
Llandudno was rated the best in the UK for hotel choice and again for the number of activities in the local area. It fell down on rainfall - which tourism bosses can't do much about. Newquay was also more popular when it came to Google searches and social media hashtags, perhaps reflecting the younger demographic of the typical visitor.
When it came to family holidays Llandudno finished top in Wales again and fourth in the UK. This is hardly surprising with the vast range of activities on offer, from the historic pier, the cable car, to the ski slope and a popular climbing wall and paddling pool (once open). Further afield are the mountains of Eryri ( Snowdonia ) and the adrenaline activities of Zip World and other smaller operators.
