The Top 30 contestants vying for the Miss South Africa 2024 title have officially been announced. "The 30 hopefuls are an impressive and diverse group. They include graduates, teachers, models, businesswomen and entrepreneurs, a medical student, creatives, a choreographer, a would-be saxophonist, and a young woman with profound hearing loss.

One was in the Miss South Africa Top 3 in 2019," reads a press statement. The women competing come from eight of South Africa's nine provinces. Gauteng leads the field with 14 contestants (two each from Tshwane and Soweto); KwaZulu-Natal has four; the Eastern Cape and Mpumalanga have three each; Limpopo and North West field two each, while Free State and Western Cape have one.

Andrea Morrison (25) is from Durban, KZN. She has a Bachelor of Education and an Honours Degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and is a high school English teacher. She says she can be very assertive regarding things she is passionate about.

Her advocacy is bringing about equality among schools in South Africa. Chidimma Adetshina (23) from Soweto, Gauteng, is a model, netball player, and Bachelor of Law student at Varsity College. She is passionate about sports and advocates for change in violence against women and children and gender-based violence.

She describes herself as ambitious, confident, and optimistic. Her motto is "Dreams are valid when actions are taken." Danae Kukard (24) is from East London, Eastern Cape.

She is a teacher and studied at Stellenbo.
