US popstar Doja Cat's X (formerly known as Twitter) account has apparently been hacked by users who have been promoting a cryptocurrency and another artist's music. "My Twitter's been hacked, these messages are not from me," Doja Cat wrote in her Instagram story . An X community note also clarified that her account was hacked: "The TWITTER DOJACAT account has been hacked.

Be careful with any links or cryptocurrency suggestions that are being given on this account." In the early hours of Tuesday, a post was uploaded to Doja Cat's account that read "buy $DOJA or else," along with a token address that leads to a Doja Cat-themed cryptocurrency. The putative hackers proceeded to spam Doja's feed, promoting the $DOJA cryptocurrency.

The hackers later made a post that directly insulted Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, calling her an expletive. Azalea is an actual crypto advocate and often punts a currency inspired by her, called $MOTHER. "Hackers on celeb girl accounts again making it about me cause I'm their fixation, but they didn't consider the fact that I may actually interact w ppl in real life and it's not fitting into reality lol," Azalea wrote on X after Doja's account was spammed.

The hacker seemingly targeted Azalea due to her connection and advocacy for cryptocurrency. They also made a post aimed at rapper Nicki Minaj , writing, "where you at boo [Nicki Minaj]". The hacker then started promoting the music of an artist called Weiland.
