ONE of Ireland's most popular supermarkets has announced a huge new selection of food - at bargain prices. Lidl will have Japanese food in stores around the country from July 11. The new range is part of their "Taste of the World" initiative, which aims to provide affordable food from around the globe.

It is from the brand "Vitaria" and features more than 60 new dishes for shoppers to try. Lidl said: "Whether you are an experienced cook or a curious food enthusiast, Lidl invites customers to explore their new limited edition Japanese range and discover the delicious favours of Japanese cuisine, with something to excite every palate." It has everything shoppers need to create an at-home Japenese-themed meal.

Lidl will be stocking sushi, sushi ingredients, matcha tea, and multiple types of rice and noodles. Sushi lovers will be delighted to hear that they can now make their own sushi at home at half the usual price. The new range will include sushi kits for €5.
