Card reveal season is already in full swing and Pokemon TCG fans are in for a treat with this upcoming release. Closely following the drop and highlighting key Pokemon from the DLC, the sparkly set is looking impactful so far. One key Pokemon card that was revealed today through is Lapras ex (019/102), which you can see in the image below alongside the new Hydrapple ex card.
As commented on , this card holds the potential to be “very OP” and could act as a perfect example of the new Stellar Tera-type in Pokemon TCG matches. Working in a similar fashion to old-school Crystal Pokemon, these Tera ‘mons have access to some intriguing Attack sets. , the first Attack on this card is Power Splash – a simple but punchy stacking Attack that does 40 damage for every Energy card attached to the Pokemon.
Note that the Energy type is not specified in the card text as Stellar Tera-type Pokemon use all sorts of Energies. The other Attack on this card is the non-damaging Larimar Rain, which allows players to check the top 20 cards of their deck, attach any number of Energy cards there to their Pokemon in any way they like, and shuffle the rest of the cards back into their deck. Deck searches are powerful enough on standard cards – – but being able to check through 20 cards without a limit on how many Energies can be moved makes this Stellar Lapras a theoretical beast.
