Punk trio Lambrini Girls are among the 22 new artists added to the lineup for this year’s Iceland Airwaves Festival. The riotous three-piece will be playing the festival which marks its 25th anniversary edition this year, and is set to take place between November 07 and 09. News of their addition to Iceland Airwaves comes almost a year exactly since the release of their ‘You’re Welcome’ EP, and follows the release of their singles ‘Body of Mine’ and ‘God’s Country’ earlier this year.
Among the other names added to this year’s billing include Welsh electronic duo Overmono , indie-rock stalwarts The Vaccines and rising Leeds outfit English Teacher . And fresh from their debut album ‘Abomination’, Lynks (a collaborator with Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes ) is set to play too. As you can likely deduce from these names alone, the festival prides itself on its multi-genre approach and will also feature local artists such as Icelandic pianist, composer, producer Gabríel Ólafs.
