It has been two years since we lost our beloved KK in an unexpected, tragic demise. KK, whose real name was Krishnakumar Kunnath, passed away on May 31, 2022, after suffering a cardiac arrest following a concert in Kolkata. He was just 53.

His death was mourned by many, from celebrities to commoners, who had grown up listening to the wonderful songs crooned by the singer. KK gave us many lovely songs in Bollywood, where he was most prolific during the '90s and the 2000s, but he also sang in various other languages like Bengali, Assamese, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, and his mother tongue, Malayalam. There is no '90s kid among us who hasn't been a fan of his songs.

So as we remember this legendary singer, here are seven of our favourite KK songs that still enthral the '90s kids among us. This poignant track about friendship still makes us teary-eyed with nostalgia, and now it has one more reason to leave us even more emotional. " " appeared both in the OST of the 1999 film and in KK's album .

Speaking of which...

This beautiful track is all about memories and nostalgia. While KK's track was quite popular when it came out in 1999, it became even more popular when it became the theme of season 1. This song hit us the most when we heard of KK's passing.

" " So damn poignant! . KK sang two great songs in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's . " ," which he sang with Shankar Mahadevan, Jyotsna Hardikar, and Damayanti Bardai, was an enjoyable, fun, festive song.

But it is " " that resonated more wit.
