Kevin Hart has been sued for millions of dollars by his former friend and actor Jonathan “JT” Jackson, who alleges the “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” actor violated a settlement agreement tied to Hart’s sex tape scandal. The lawsuit, which names Hart, his company Hartbeat LLC and several others as defendants, claims Hart did not properly share an agreed-upon statement that declared Jackson’s innocence when Hart apologized over the sex tape scandal. The lawsuit also alleges that Hart and his legal team provided false evidence to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, which led to the false extortion charges against Jackson and his arrest in April 2018.
