Monday, July 8, 2024 Kerrie Faradatolo from Malaita has been crowned Miss Tourism Solomon Islands, combining elegance with intellect. As a Senior Legislative Drafting Counsel in the Attorney-General’s Chambers in Honiara, Kerrie will now embark on promoting tourism across the Solomon Islands, highlighting its significance to the nation and its positive impact on the populace. Her campaign is backed by Tourism Solomons and several co-sponsors, including Solomon Airlines, Travel Solomons, the Heritage Park Hotel, Qua Roviana Motel in Munda, and Authentic Mala Tours.

These partners are essential in assisting Kerrie to fulfill her responsibilities as the new ambassador of tourism. One of her initial responsibilities will be participating in the Miss Solomon Islands Pageant scheduled for late August in Honiara. This event will serve as a precursor to next year’s Miss South Pacific Beauty Pageant, which the Solomon Islands will host.

Kerrie, holding degrees in Law and Legislative Drafting from the University of the South Pacific, is a fervent supporter of enhancing tourism and education in her country. She aims to celebrate the Solomon Islands’ rich culture and history, making it known to both locals and visitors.
