A food alert posted to the Food Standards Agency (FSA) explained that the cereal brand was recalling its chocolate flavour Corn Flakes.
It was found that "low levels" of the product has formed hard lumps that "could cause "dental harm" or even a "choking hazard". Food recalls are generally posted to the FSA when a product has been 'withdrawn' or 'recalled' from store shelves. This usually means the product is unsuitable for consumption due to a problem such as missing ingredients or allergy information.
The product recall from Kellogg's affects cereal boxes with a pack size of 450g and all date codes from December 6, 2024 through to April 28, 2025. The brand has confirmed no other Kellogg's products, including Original Corn Flakes, have been affected. Kellogg's wrote in its recall notice: "We have become aware of a very low level of small hard lumps forming in our new Kellogg's Corn Flakes Chocolate Flavour.
