KATHLEEN KATHIE WATSON It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Kathleen “Kathie” Watson, wife, Mom, Gma, Nana, and AK. She was in the company of loved ones and at peace with her death on May 28, 2024. Kathie leaves a legacy of love and memories.
She is survived by her husband, Gerry; two beautiful daughters, Tracy (Jim) Houtman and Dana (Guy) Pitman of Chico; sons Ray (Pam) Watson of Chico and Steve (Kris) Watson of Coos Bay, Oregon; grandchildren Kyle (Talena) Koshak and Megan Houtman of Chico, Jake Houtman of Carmichael, Jordan Pitman of Davis, and great-grandchildren, Maya Koshak and Carter Houtman of Chico. Kathie is survived by her younger brother and only sibling, Skip (Cheryl) Mullin of Idaho, and nieces Kelle (Travis) Porter of Sacramento, Kristen (Travis, RIP) Gomes and Kara Mullin of Folsom, and great-nephews Remy Porter and Jordan Perez. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Margaret (John, RIP) Watson Hopkins of Rancho Murieta, and a host of extended family members.
Kathie was born November 21, 1946, to Lt. Ted and Virginia Mullin at Scott AFB, Illinois. She lived there for two weeks and then moved on to another of many bases as her dad moved up in rank in the Air Force.
She attended several schools in her younger years but had the opportunity to attend 7th-12th grades in Bellevue, Nebraska, while her dad was stationed in the SAC underground at Offutt AFB. After graduation, she attended cosmetology and modeling school in Omaha; e.
