The character immediately captured viewers’ hearts by taking the kids in the show under his wing when they started High School, and he was at the center of many key scenes from the season.
This includes his heartbreaking death in the Season 4 finale, when Eddie sacrificed himself to help Dustin fend off evil Vecna’s demobats. He ultimately died in Dustin’s arms, but in order to get out alive, Dustin was forced to leave Eddie’s body in the Upside Do.
