Travelling to Japan just got that much cheaper for Aussies amid the ongoing cost of living crisis.  Jetstar has announced today they are releasing thousands of discounted fares to Tokyo and Osaka for Aussies looking to fly to the country on a budget. Japan has soared in popularity in recent years, with more and more Aussies flocking to the country in the post-pandemic years.

According to recent research by Jetstar last year saw a staggering 35 per cent increase in travel to the country compared to 2019. To cater to this increased interest, Jetstar is releasing 30,000 discounted fares on direct and connecting flights from Australia for under $350 – kicking off today.

The sale will begin at midnight on Thursday, May 30 and run until June 4, with flight deals available for June to mid-September and going into early 2025. Aussies will have the chance to purchase discounted flights direct from Cairns, Brisbane and Sydney to Tokyo (Narita) and Osaka (Kansai) for a fraction of the price. For those travelling to Osaka direct flights from Cairns start at $239, Brisbane from $282 and Sydney from $305.
