JEOPARDY! lovers say they're annoyed by the game show sharing multiple posts featuring a player just coming off a winning streak. Jeopardy! player Drew Basile finally lost last week after a seven-game streak of wins. Drew isn't new to the TV screen as the game show vet was previously on Survivor.
He was finally beaten out by a Jeopardy! opponent on Friday, June 28. After all his wins, he qualifies for the Tournament of Champions. He won so many games back to back that Jeopardy! congratulated Drew on Instagram, days after his loss.
"Congrats on your 7-game streak, Drew," the game show stated in a post from its official Instagram account. "Don’t extinguish your torch just yet, we’ll be seeing you in the next TOC." Survivor joined Jeopardy! in extending the congratulations to Drew by partnering with the Instagram post.
In the comments of the post, Drew showed his appreciation. "It was an honor," the Jeopardy player said. "Playing my idol, see you at TOC.
" A commenter asked: "Did he finally lose? I can start watching again?" "Okay we get it he lost," another person said. "Can you stop posting about him now?" "I am so glad he is off," a user simply said. Jeopardy! first aired in 1964 until 1975.
