A heartbroken friend of missing teen Jay Slater has released a touching picture of the pair together. The 19-year-old lad from Oswaldtwistle in Lancashire disappeared on June 17 while on holiday in Tenerife. Lucy Law, who is a core figure in the search for Jay, mentioned that she had a phone conversation with him where he expressed his intentions to walk back from a north Tenerife AirBnB to their accommodation in the south, an 11-hour walk away.

Lucy took to Instagram to share an emotive snapshot featuring herself and Jay, accompanied by a blue heart and teary-eyed emoji. Jay was last known to have contacted Lucy, reporting he was "lost in the middle of nowhere". His last location before vanishing was the Rural de Teno Park, situated in the Canary Island's northern regions.

Adding to the urgency, Lucy reported that Jay's phone battery was at a mere one per cent. Previously, Lucy described the circumstances as 'weird', saying: "There's something weird going on. It is suspicious.
