CROWN POINT, IN — Janie Sue Pierce (nee Fodemski), age 76, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Janie is survived by her husband, Ron Pierce; children: Chip (Jen) Pierce, Phil (J.J.
) Pierce; grandchildren: Jacob, Dylan, Evie; brothers: Lenny (Deanna) Fodemski, Wally (Joanne) Fodemski; sister, Kathy Jo (the late Kirk) Miller. Janie was preceded in death by her parents, Walter P. and Ida Mae Fodemski.
Janie Sue Pierce was born in Gary, IN. She was a graduate of Crown Point High School, Class of 1965. Janie was an active member of Marching Cadets/Band, Tri-Kappa, Indiana Doula Society and volunteered at St.
Mary's School. She was a certified cosmetologist and was an instructor at Merrillville Beauty School. Janie was also a certified Doula.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 14, 2024, at GEISEN FUNERAL, CREMATION & RECEPTION CENTRE, 606 E. 113th Ave.
