In a recent podcast with , Janhvi opened up about her paranoid behaviour concerning her parents’ safety. She shared, “I was always paranoid about losing my parents, even at a young age. Whenever they went out at night for an event or travelled without me, I’d be worried.

Even small things, like them shopping at duty-free while I boarded the plane with my nanny, made me anxious. I’d wake up at night and sometimes go into their room to check if they were breathing.” She revealed that as she has grown older, her maternal instincts have become stronger.

Janhvi respects the Indian tradition of caring for ageing parents and feels it’s her turn to look after her father. “After a certain age, our parents become like our kids. I know I will be more forgiving towards my father for not always being there emotionally because now it’s my time to be there for him,” she said.
