EVERYONE who has ever used self-tanner knows the struggle of trying to reach your back. One woman shared the creative hack she uses as well as her go-to brand. Commenting on a Reddit post , user Gorillagrip-420-69 broke down her self-tanning routine.
First, she revealed her favorite brand of self-tanner, which she uses a unique item to apply. "Believe it or not, the absolute best self-tanner I’ve found is the Ulta brand mousse," the poster wrote. The Ulta Beauty Self Tanning Express Tan Tinted Mousse is available for $13.
She commended the low price point of the product as she compared it to other options. "In my opinion, [it's] sooooo much better than almost all high-end brands like St. Tropez," she explained.
The social media user shared her DIY trick for applying the tanner to her back. "For tanning your back, sounds weird but totally works, I put my mitt on a wide spatula, secure it with a hair tie, and rub in the tanner using that," she said. As well as revealing her product recommendation and application hack, the Redditor shared a mistake to avoid when self-tanning.
"The biggest mistake I’ve made with tanning my face is avoiding tanning my upper lip out of fear of it looking too dark," she explained. "The opposite was true for me, not doing self-tanner on places like that actually looks way worse." She also revealed the "obvious tip" that she swears by for a smooth application.
"I use a big fluffy brush for my feet, hands, elbows, and knees," the Redditor explained.
