A well-known face will be covering showbiz news on This Morning as Sian Welby is making the most of her maternity leave. The presenter was back on the morning program this Monday (June 10) as she announced her replacement during a chat with Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard . Sian, 37, will be taking a break from the show as she's expecting her first child with partner Jake Beckett, which she announced earlier this year on Capital FM.
During her last appearance on the show before welcoming her bundle of joy, Ben Shephard playfully said: "First it’s time for the latest showbiz news, Sian is here, for your very last date with us before you go off to pop", to which Sian replied: "Yes, exactly which I think I’ve pushed as far as I can without going into labour on this sofa!" Ben then added: "We are thrilled that you are here for one last time and you’ve got a bit of an exclusive for us as well?" A reference to Sian's replacement during her maternity leave. Much like her, the star taking over her duties on This Morning is a famous presenter on Capital Breakfast. Sian wasted no time in revealing all the details as she said: "I do because I know the showbiz news needs to be left in good hands and somebody that deals with showbiz stories every morning and actually works alongside me most mornings when I am doing the radio.
.. This is the handover of all handovers!" She continued: “I really think this is the perfect guy for the job, I work with him every morning and he’s fantastic.
