Love Island 's return date has now been announced and one former islander has teased ahead of the launch that they could head back into the villa again over the summer. It's been announced that the new series of the ITV2 show will launch on June 3. Maya Jama will return as the host and there's already speculation about the line-up , which is rumoured to include a rugby player and a makeup artist.

The news has prompted excitement on social media this week, including from some former islander. And ahead of the launch next month, Mitch Taylor , 27, has hinted that he would be open to a third stint as a contestant on the show. Mitch first appeared on the tenth series, which aired last year.

He was on the show for a number of weeks before being dumped from the villa shortly before the final.
