Britain's Got Talent finalist Alex Mitchell has opened up on his 'disappointing' performance during Sunday's final. During the latest instalment, the audience crowned their winner and Sydnie Christmas took home the incredible £250,000 cash prize as well as a chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance later this year. However, the win was subjected to 'fix' claims after spotting a 'clue' that Sydnie was going to win.

Some fans believe that Sydnie performing last would mean that she would win. Appearing on Monday's Lorraine after the final, teaching assistant and comedian Alex opened up about the final after securing a place on Sunday's show thanks to winning the hearts of the judges and audience by embracing and joking about his tics during his routine. Talking about his performance on Sunday night, Alex admitted on Monday's Lorraine: "It's mad, the last 48 hours in particular have been nuts but I will come away from it, and I think, last night after my performance I was a little disappointed with it but I can come away feeling incredibly proud of what we did, what we achieved.

" To which host, Lorraine Kelly, said: "Absolutely, you'll be you're own worst critic, because we all are, aren't we, we really are. You've done amazingly well, you're going on tour for goodness sake!" to which Alex admitted: "It's been the most bonkers years, Britain's Got Talent started for me back in September. I then managed to go through and I'm going to Edinburgh this summer for the first .
