Following a disastrous launch that saw its Steam page bombarded with negative reviews, the First Descendant community is now hoping that Nexon’s controversial looter shooter bounces back in a big way. Though it’s still a ways off from reaching the heights of its more established counterparts in Destiny 2 and Warframe, it may be on its way to doing so after some players began noticing an uptick in its overall Steam page reception. According to Reddit user , The First Descendant was sitting on an abysmal 49% review score on Steam a few days ago.

Now, it’s seen an increase of 4%, with the game at a much healthier-looking 53%. And with more positive reviews starting to come in, it could see an even bigger rise over the next few weeks. However, some still don’t think TFD deserves a massive comeback, especially with developer Nexon’s questionable microtransaction practices remaining in play.

After all, these overpriced items, outfits, and accessories are what caused the majority of negative reviews to pour in. Aside from charging obscene prices in each of its games, Nexon has also, unfortunately, built a reputation over the years for being uncommunicative. And although that seems to have improved with their handling of The First Descendant, first impressions are hard to change as players continue to remember the company’s past mistakes.
