There are rules to follow. In Scott County, for instance, pet dogs must access the outdoor area by a separate entrance not through the inside of the establishment; must be leased at all times; are not permitted on chairs, tables, benches or seats; must be controlled at all times by the dog's owner or designee and pet owners must immediately notify the food establishment's staff in the event that excrement or bodily fluids are deposited.
