Dailey and Vincent is a duo formally established in 2008 by two world class musicians who have been performing their entire lives. They are a class act with a lot of heart and beautiful harmonies. Individually, their talents are synonymous with a long list of international music royalty.
Collectively, they have headlined at Carnegie Hall three times, received four DOVE awards and have been named Vocal Group of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) three times. Their family friendly show will feature original music and a few covers when they return to the Old Town Theatre at 7 p.m.
on Saturday June 22. Jamie Dailey is a vocal powerhouse of the highest degree, with a sweet Southern lilt that has limitless soul and impressive range. His guitar and vocal skills came in part from performing with his family and regional groups around middle Tennessee and Kentucky in his early years.
He joined Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver as a lead vocalist in 1998 and was part of a long run of awards and nominations, including 13 IBMA Awards and their recognition as Vocal Group of the Year seven times. Vincent is a master on banjo, mandolin and upright bass, creating a perfect background with Dailey on guitar for a harmonic performance that comes from a place beyond talent and practice. They are both a product of the music that raised them and the inspiration they gained from the natural beauty and talent that surrounded them.
