Andrew Murray, area manager, at the new Penneys in Bray. And just like that, in seven days, Penneys Bray was created. It was as if the Bray Central shopping centre was without real shape or form until there was light in the windows and section by section, over the seven days from last Wednesday, July 10, it all fell into place.

Andrew Murray, Area Manager, with outstretched arm, points them out one by one. Fashion. T-shirts into leisure wear and shorts.

Accessories. Footwear. Baby wear, both boys and girls.

Nightwear. Women’s wear. Men’s wear.

It all flows seamlessly into an area some 19,600 square feet in size. Of course, the heavy lifting took a lot longer and the retailer has been on site for months, but the actual fit-out took just seven days, following a model that has worked since the dawn of Penneys itself.
